The Best Breakfast in the Hotel across Russia

The 'Where to Travel' Awards, held on December 5 at the Russian Ethnographic Museum in St. Petersburg, are part of the ecosystem 'Where To'. On the festive evening in honor of the First Awards, the names of the best hotels in the country were announced, along with winners in special nominations. Additionally, special awards were given to the most hospitable and comfortable hotels in various regions of Russia, including St. Petersburg and the Northwest, Moscow and Central Russia, the South and North Caucasus, the Ural and Volga regions, Siberia, and the Far East.

In the overall ranking of the 100 best hotels in Russia, the Metropol took a prestigious 12th place and emerged as the winner in the special nomination for 'Hotel with the Best Breakfast.'

The General Manager of the Metropol Hotel, Marina Skokova, addressed the organizers and guests of the Awards with a welcome speech:

«Let me to thank everyone who is present in this hall today. It is especially pleasant to receive an award in the category 'Hotel with the Best Breakfast,' as the quality of breakfast has long been one of the key criteria for travelers when selecting a hotel. We take great care in everything that makes breakfast at the Metropol unique starting with the magnificent main hall, its atmosphere, music, and service, and extending to every dish presented at the buffet line or in the à la carte menu. And perhaps it may seem immodest on my part, but breakfast at the Metropol Hotel can confidently be called a special gastronomic experience, available not only to hotel guests but also to any visitor wishing to enjoy it.

Also, I would like to express my gratitude to the Organizers and personally to Irina Tiusonina for creating this Award. Less than a year ago, at one of our meetings, we learned only about the plans to establish it, and now today we stand on stage, and all together are participants in this bright event in the industry».

It is worth noting that breakfast at the Metropol continues to evolve and improve: along with the diverse array of dishes presented at the buffet lines, desserts and signature bread from the Pastry Metropol x Remy project have been added. In this unique project, the hotel's pastry shop and bakery combined their culinary traditions with innovative ideas from the chefs and bakers at Remy Kitchen Bakery, opening a new chapter in their history. Through meticulous work, study of recipe books, and numerous tastings, the hotel has completely updated its dessert menu and signature bread recipes.
